hi. you can install the drivers for the USB cable. The company Prolific makes the chips used in the cables and fortunately they have drivers for OSX also! i am using it now on my macbook with my 6680 for 3G connection and now also with Nokia Media Transfer and it works fine.

install and connect your phone using the USB cable. Check System Profiler to see if it gets detected by OSX.
