I received my pre-ordered copy of Leopard yesterday like a good fanboy should, and did a fresh install on a newly installed 200GB 7200 RPM Seagate Momentus on my Macbook. The installation went without a hitch, and I am currently migrating applications from my old HD, now comfortably seated in an external enclosure.
One of the first things I did was pairing Leopard with my trusted N95. I downloaded the Nokia iSync plugin and run the installer, without issues. I then proceeded to add the N95 as a Bluetooth device, and everything went smoothly. The biggest surprise was that there was no need to download Ross Barkman's time-tested modem scripts. Leopard had a trick of its own up its sleeve, and setting up net access over Bluetooth was as simple as ever:
I will continue to test other connectivity, but so far things are looking up!

Does it still work after the 10.5.1 update?
Because I'm experiencing problems after that update, saying resource busy.
Before the 10.5.1 everything went fine indeed.

I found after the update to 10.5.1 that I could no longer connect via Bluetooth modem, I deleted the pairing and and used the Bluetooth setup again.
Works fine again now

Yes, I just tried today on the road. 10.5.1 and BT modem worked right the first time.
Although as I stated before
Although as I stated before Nokia Multimedia Transfer no longer works with Leopard, if you plug in your N95 (may work for others) iPhoto automatically recognises it and downloads your photos.

There's one widget that can do the trick for free...

I've been using the Leopard
I've been using the Leopard prereleases since WWDC, and my N95 has slowly gained more compatibility with each release. With the final 10.5 build 9A581, everything seemed to Just Work, and that's a bit of a relief. It does seem that all Nokia 3G phones now will work out of the box as 3g modems for a Leopard laptop or desktop, which saved me the last time I had to do a server upgrade when my DSL line was down. At this point, syncing with the Mac and N95 is even more convenient than using PC Suite on a Windows machine, because now you can also sync Todos, which didn't really work with anything except for possibly Notes and Outlook, two programs that all the companies in my area refuse to use.
Hello, I'm very interested
Hello, I'm very interested by your comments because my Nokia 3600 was working great as a modem in 10.4. I upgraded to Leopard yesterday and have spent all evening trying to get it to work again and it just won't, the dreaded "modem error occurred" message. Nothing has changed on my phone so it has to be Leopard (or more likely me missing something). Any clue? Many thanks. E
Did you re-pair the Nokia
Did you re-pair the Nokia after the Leopard upgrade (e.g. by going through the whole Set Up Bluetooth Device wizard?
I got these errors every now and then with Tiger, and usually a reboot of either the phone or the Mac helped :)
You bet I did, thanks for
You bet I did, thanks for asking. I do IT support for a living so am obsessive by nature and don't leave stones unturned. My biggest concern is that Leopard only offers ONE script whereas in Tiger I had obtained multiple Nokia scripts from http://www.taniwha.org.uk/gprs.html and this very nice chaps advice was 'keep trying one 'til it works' which I did. The upgrade ignored these scripts and even though I've copied them back from a Tiger backup, none of them work anymore. So the provided script doesn't work and the 'old' scripts no longer work. Jiggered!!! BTW, for the record, this is small beans compared to the complaints on the Apple User Discussions. Leopard has broken ARD (Photoshop7, some vers of Toast........) and people are howling bitterly. Leopard. It'll be nice when it works. Thanks again for the suggestion. E
With regards to tethering,
With regards to tethering, could you please help me out really quick? I only use tethering in a dire emergency so I only have the MediaNet200 package as I rely on my cable at home for my computer. Please don't rag on me for not subscribing to the $69.99 tether plan as I only use it if my Cox Cable goes out which is almost never. So, I can't get the tether to work although I used to use it with 10.4. I believe the ATT settings are wap@cingulargprs.com and cingular1 right? My MBP keeps coming back with "Cannot connect to server" or something quite similar to that. Any ideas?
